Residents to be treated with beautiful choir music

Florida Augmented Choir brings Christmas Carols to community.

The Record visited Florida Methodist Church on the afternoon of 9 November for the rehearsal of the Florida Augmented Choir.

The choir once again will treat residents to an evening of beautiful traditional Christmas music and organ recitals on 22 November – free of charge.

According to Choir Director Eddie Andersen, favourites such as Bethlehem’s Child and Living Lord will be performed and they also have one or two surprise guests in store.

Although entrance is free, a collection will be taken at the door. Free tea, coffee and snacks will be available afterwards.

The event will be held at the church and starts with an organ recital at 7pm followed by the choir performing at 7.30pm. All are welcome.
