With the Festive Season around the corner the City has an appetiser up its sleeve for residents.
The City of Joburg Region C will host its regional carnival on 30 November at the Cecil Payne Stadium. This is a build-up to the tenth annual Joburg Carnival that will be held on 8 December at the Newtown precinct in Johannesburg.
There will be a float and procession leaving from the Florida Lake at 9am to the Cecil Payne Stadium where there will be demonstrations by troops from various wards within the region.
The theme of the carnival this year is celebrating the African countries and Region C is representing Cameroon, but not forgetting to infuse the regional diversity of cultures and showing the element of justice in their parade.
All resident are invited and more information can be obtained from Nhlanhla Sithole on 082 463 9493 or Nomalizo Kana on 073 580 8947.
