Crafts showcased at the Gateway Market
All sorts of food, desserts, arts and crafts and plants were sold at the Gateway Market.
All sorts of crafts, homemade decorative and body products were available at the Gateway market on Saturday morning 2 November.
At the Gateway Village in Peter Road, Ruimsig, craft enthusiasts perused display table after display table of beautifully crafted beadwork and art, homemade desserts, jams and beauty products and candles. Homegrown plants and herbs were also for sale. The market was manned by the Gateway Society as well as their passionate friends and supporters. Young and old enjoyed music from the 70s, 80s and 90s being played while they explored the offerings.
Chanelle Bekker, fundraising manager at the Gateway Society, said that the Society would like to thank the public for their support and their sponsors for their help in organising the event.
“Specifically, thanks to Remax Masters, Nedbank West Rand, Green Tree Estate Agents and the Impala fruit and flower market for their help and support in making this event a success.”
The Society can not yet confirm how much money was raised through the hosting of this charity market.
