A major operation to disconnect illegal electricity connections in Princess informal settlement is taking place today 24 October.
Princess informal settlement and the surrounding areas were swamped with City Power officials and members of the SAPS, JMPD and the Public Order Policing (Pop) unit. Unhappy residents from the settlement started to form small groups everywhere in an uneasy atmosphere.
According to an unofficial source there is a posibility of illegal protests later in the afternoon.
Motorists are advised to avoid Main Reef Road and surrounding areas.
