Miss Roodepoort 2013 nearing

Young female residents are urged to hurry and enter the glamorous Miss Roodepoort 2013 pageant that will be held at Westgate Shopping Centre on 29 September.

“Ideally our Miss Roodepoort 2013 is a strong, passionate, charismatic girl with a beautiful personality.

“She will be willing to use her Miss Roodepoort title not only as a title, but as a platform from which to make a difference in her community,” explained the pageant’s Leander Blignaut.

Blignaut boasts that Miss Roodepoort 2013 would have automatic entry into Miss South Africa, “Thus she must be of the highest calibre”.

This year the pageant is benefitting the Roodepoort Fire Department.

“We took a different route than just supporting smaller charities financially (as we did over the past five years) to rather focusing on how we can benefit not only an organisation but the entire community.

“The plan is to give the Department a facelift to enable them to take the best care of their community.”

Blignaut mentioned that Miss Roodepoort 2013 will be given a vehicle worth approximately R250 000 for the year of her reign, “So she must have a valid learner’s or driver’s licence by the time of entering the competition”.

Organisers of the event will not be handling any entry fees (R250 per entry) in cash on the day. Residents are urged to pay beforehand or to use an ATM to deposit the money on the day.
