A group wanting to be known only as the “disgruntled alliance partners” has informed the Record of the pending disciplinary proceedings regarding current Chairperson of Ward 70’s ANC branch, Aubrey Adams.
According to the group the go-ahead from top provincial structures has been given to investigate alleged financial mismanagement of branch funds by Adams.
The group also alleges that they “have seen a letter” pertaining to the matter and feels that the ANC is tarrying in taking action against Adams.
The Record contacted Adams to give him the right to comment.
At first he laughed it off and denied all allegations but then threatened the journalist saying he’ll sue him in his (the journalist’s) personal capacity as well as the source/s. Five minutes later he phoned the Record again threatening to sue.
The Record is awaiting verification of more information.
