Florida residents are urged to prepare for a planned power interruption on 22 May from 8am to 4pm.
City Power will be shutting down the Mechanical Workshop Switching Station in Roodepoort for maintenance purposes and the following areas will be affected:
- Florida Lake
- Hamberg
- Rand Leases
- Creswell Park
The entity said that the maintenance is important to ensure that the network performs at its optimal level, as well as to ensure the security of supply.
They urged customers to be safe when using electricity and to treat all the electricity points as live during this period of maintenance.
City Power also apologised for any inconvenience caused due to this planned outage.
