Help the SPCA with only R35
The Roodepoort Krugersdorp SPCA continues to care for unwanted, abandoned and abused animals throughout the lockdown period.
The Roodepoort Krugersdorp SPCA is appealing to the local community to please consider making a donation of R35 towards their cause – R1 for every day of the lockdown – or any amount that community members are able to contribute.
The Roodepoort Krugersdorp SPCA continues to care for unwanted, abandoned and abused animals throughout the lockdown period, and although their offices are closed, their hardworking inspectorate staff has been there to ensure that the animals are warm, comfortable and fed on a daily basis.
As usual, the Roodepoort Krugersdorp SPCA is available 24 hours a day to take in animals, and their animal hospital is open from Mondays to Saturdays for emergencies only.
All of their fundraising events have had to be suspended, so they would be extremely grateful if you would support their cause in these times.
Donations of dog or cat food will be greatly appreciated; tinned food in particular, if possible. With winter fast approaching, they also need blankets, dog and cat jackets, as well as old newspapers.
During these trying times the inspectors are still inspecting establishments where animals are kept, such as piggeries, petting farms, stable yards, pet shops, hawkers, roadside traders, abattoirs and chicken houses, to name a few. Because of this, the petrol account is also very high and they need donations to help them pay these accounts and keep vehicles maintained to reach the various areas safely.
The areas they cover stretch from Maraisburg all the way to Magaliesburg.
