Muldersdrift farm owners have been cautioned to keep an eye on their properties following trespassers being found cutting down trees without permission.
The Muldersdrift Community Policing Forum (CPF) communication officer, Sam Barale, spoke about this growing concern.

“There have been numerous complaints of people chopping down trees on properties for firewood due to a lack of cash to buy food, paraffin and other necessities. Please watch your farms for trespassers,” she warned; however, suggesting this could also be an opportunity to clear some areas a little before the fire season.
Residents are advised to report trespassing to their security provider or local police station.
