Farm owners warned against illegal ‘tree fellers’

“There have been numerous complaints of people chopping down trees on properties for firewood due to a lack of cash to buy food, paraffin and other necessities. Please watch your farms for trespassers,” she warned; however, suggesting this could also be an opportunity to clear some areas a little before the fire season.

Residents are advised to report trespassing to their security provider or local police station.
