The Department of Higher Education and Training again had to dismiss another fake announcement doing the rounds, suggesting that all learning institutions will be closed for the duration of the year due to the coronavirus.
The letter, with the forged signature of the Minister of Higher Education and Training, Dr Blade Nzimande, stipulated that all learning will be suspended for the rest of the year; however, the letter quickly received a fake-news red stamp from the department – warning individuals to be aware of fake reports.
