Roodekrans Neighbourhood Watch beefs up its fleet
Absolut Security assist with contribution towards reaction vehicle
As the nation made its final preparations for the three-week lockdown, Roodekrans Neighbourhood Watch (RNW) unveiled their new response vehicle, named ‘Echo Victor One’.
In collaboration with Absolut Security, RNW was able to purchase a kitted-out Nissan NP300 to assist patrollers attending to incidents in Roodekrans.

“This vehicle will carry equipment to assist emergency services to duly close roads, provide auxiliary power if needed, carry emergency supplies and provide back-up with our pothole crew,” said RNW Head of Patrollers, Martin Lombard. The heavily influential community watchdog now boasts roughly 45 patrollers with 20 being registered first-aiders and responders.
Absolut Security shared their sentiments via their Facebook page, stating, “We as company will always go the extra mile for our clients and the community. We would like to thank the RNW for all their work and for always assisting the community. We are very proud to be the lead sponsors for this great initiative.”
“I want to thank the RNW committee and our partners Absolut Security for allowing this concept to materialise and assist in our quest for self-sufficiency in our communities,” concluded Martin.
Community safety is about pooling resources for the greater good, meaning every little piece counts toward building the barrier against crime.
