Games postponed until further notice
This meant no games, training and management meetings.
With only eight games remaining to end off the SAB league, Golden Drifters Football Club and many other teams have been forced to comply with health regulations amid the spread of the Coronavirus.
The club’s president and current coach, Proud Shoko, announced that all business operations had to be shut down due to the pandemic.
“Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, we’ve closed our business with immediate effect until further notice,” he said. This means no games, training and management meetings.
Shoko urged all members and fans of his club to avoid social gatherings or visits at all costs for the time being.
The South African Football Association (SAFA) made the final decision to cancel all amateur and Premier Soccer League matches as playing for empty stands does not guarantee the safety of the players.
