Taking an educational walk on Kloofendal’s paths

An educational walks starts of with a two hour guide walk giving time to explore and discover what the nature holds

A large group of 135 learners from Pecop Basic Academy enjoyed a fun, two-hour, hands-on environmental educational walk through the Kloofendal Nature Reserve with Friends of Kloofendal (FroK) on Saturday, 7 March.

The learners were divided into seven different groups that followed the different parts in the reserve, and were led by a FroK guide.

They were given time to explore and discover what nature holds, and learn important information such as the value of all our natural resources and their role in maintaining healthy ecosystems.

They especially enjoyed coming across tiny red toads with short tadpole tails that were making their way out of the water.
