A suspect has been nabbed by Dowry Security personnel in the Constantia area following in a house robbery on Wednesday, 11 March.
The company posted on Facebook that a distress call came in about an intruder in a house and the domestic worker having locked herself in a bedroom.
Dowry’s reaction unit responded immediately, and on arrival found a vehicle with three suspects.
One of the three was taken down while running towards the vehicle.
Members of the unit gave chase after the getaway vehicle (VW Polo); however, the suspects allegedly skipped a red traffic light and the members unfortunately lost them.
The company praised its two reaction officers for their quick response.
