Department of health confirms 6 more COVID-19 cases in South Africa bringing the total to 13

The Minister of Health, Zweli Mkhize, wishes to inform the public that 6 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed bringing the total number of coronavirus positive patients in South Africa to 13.

The department has up to this moment only made the following information available with regards to Gauteng patients. A 33-year-old female who had travelled to Italy and returned on the 1st of March 2020 was tested positive.

A couple, a 34-year-old male and a 33-year-old female who had travelled to Germany has tested positive. They returned to South Africa on the 9th of March 2020
