More than 100 truck drivers fined for using Doreen Road
These trucks are being stopped and fined for disregarding the five-ton weight restriction imposed on Doreen Road.
Disobedient truckers have been taught a hard lesson by the Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) for using the weight-restricted Doreen Road.
JMPD Region C acting deputy commander, Wandile Mrubata, confirmed to the Northsider that from 2 to 7 March they had stopped a total of 101 trucks and consequently issued 101 fines to their drivers.

This exercise comes after a series of accidents on Doreen, mostly caused by trucks.
