Miss Teen finalist requires your votes
“After watching how America’s Next Top Model transformed modern girls into top models, I was eager to try it out,” said Ashleigh.
With the dream of competing for the Miss South Africa title one day, 16-year-old Ashleigh Teen is gaining all the experience she needs at local pageants.
While learning the ropes, the passionate young model has bagged a number of titles and looks to add one more, come 4 April.
This 2019 Miss Pre-teen International South Africa is now gunning for a bigger title. She is currently a finalist in the elite Miss Teenager Universe RSA 2020, a title she aims to claim as it promises even more exciting opportunities abroad. The winner of the competition will represent South Africa in the world finals in Mexico in August.
However, for her to make it through, she requires votes to get closer to the crown.
The King’s School West Rand Grade 11 learner enlightened the Northsider about her love of modelling which she said she drew from the America’s Next Top Model series.
“After watching how America’s Next Top Model transformed modern girls into top models, I was eager to try it out,” said Ashleigh.
She added that the show, hosted by American television personality Tyra Banks, was enough to kick-start her career. She started entering pageants and showcasing her fashionable side.
What excite Ashleigh even more about modelling is the amazing people she gets to meet, and build relationships that she believes will help shape her career even better.
Discussing her promising future endeavours, she said, “It’s always been a dream of mine to enter Miss SA. The pageant I won last year was definitely a stepping stone.”
She advised aspiring models to be confident, and always be comfortable in their own skin.
