Accident on the wet Corlett avenue in Witpoortjie

On a rainy Monday morning, 2 March, a collision on the corner of Corlett Avenue and Ham Street, Witpoortjie was not on the two drivers’ agenda on their way to work.

The driver of the light motor vehicle explained that he was travelling on Ham Street and as he crossed Corlett Avenue he did not see the oncoming motorcyclist, and collided with him. None of the drivers sustained any injuries, but both were in shock.

A JMPD officer arrived on scene shortly after the accident, and took both drivers’ statements.
