Man airlifted after falling 1.2 metres to the ground from a ladder

According to Alett Reed of Emer-G-Med, the patient sustained head injuries after the fall and was left in a critical condition.

A man was airlifted to hospital after falling approximately 1,2 metres from a ladder at Eagle Canyon in Honeydew on Monday, 24 February.

After the patient was treated by Emer-G-Med paramedics, he was taken by a Netcare 911 chopper to a medical facility.

“The patient was intubated on the scene before being flown to a level 1 trauma facility by Netcare 911 [specialised helicopter ambulance],” she explained.
