Ward 97 councillor Leah Knott has reminded residents to report service delivery issues immediately for them to be attended to speedily.
This after a resident had notified her of a sewage leak in Hole-in-One Avenue in Ruimsig on Thursday, 6 February and the matter being escalated to Joburg Water for resolution.
“It’s important to log issues immediately. Sewerage blockages have a service-level agreement (SLA) time frame of resolution within 24 hours of the entity being notified (i.e. the issue being logged),” she explained.
Report services complaints to Joburg Water by dialling 011 688 1400 for switchboard, or 011 688 1500 for Technical call centre.
