Ward 97 councillor Leah Knott has notified the public of yet another explosion at a mini substation on Peter Road in Ruimsig this morning, 6 February. It has caused a number of outages in the area.
The cause of the explosion unknown as yet, but vandalism is suspected, according to Knott.
She confirmed that City Power was aware of the problem and would attend to it.
“They were dealing with vandalised cables in Tsepisong when it was escalated, but it’s on their list,” she assured residents.
