Gabrielle in the top 10 of IJM SA pageant
In one of the IJM SA competitions, she has won her first crown for the best video to Miss SA, Sasha-Lee Laurel Olivier.
Thirteen-year-old aspiring model, singer, actress and dancer, Gabrielle de Gama is preparing for the International Junior Miss SA (IJM SA) Pageant in which she is a finalist. The event takes place from 29 February to 1 March.
The young shining star will be jetting off to the US in July, following her being awarded a scholarship to attend the New York Film Academy’s summer camp in Los Angeles where she will be learning about acting, film and musical theatre.
She will then head to New York to perform in front of 300 agents at the International Model and Talent Show (IMTA).
Her love of modelling started developing last year at the International Arts Talent Showcase at Silverstar, where she modelled on stage for the first time.
After the showcase, she entered her headshot to the IJM SA and was chosen as a finalist.
In one of the IJM SA competitions, she has won her first crown for the best video to Miss SA, Sasha-Lee Laurel Olivier, who has put the video on her Instagram account where it has had more than 24 000 views.
Gabrielle looks forward to competing in the Miss and Miss Universe pageants one day, just like Zozibini Tunzi and Sasha-Lee.
“This journey at IJM SA has been amazing as it has grown my love of community service. The IJM SA platform has allowed me to interact with other young girls who also want to make a difference in the communities they serve,” said Gabrielle.
She currently volunteers at the Chayil Foundation that serves underprivileged communities, focusing on the youth.
She will also be hosting a talent show on 7 March. Talent scouts will be there and locals will get an opportunity to showcase their talents.
