UPDATE 12h25 Power has been restored
At approximately 11am this morning, 3 February, the power in Witpoortjie went out without warning. The area is not currently scheduled for load-shedding, which means that another issue is causing the outage.
City Power was quick to respond to the logged calls and speedily sent technicians to the Factoria Substation to determine the cause of the outage.
It was soon determined that a circuit breaker in the substation had blown. The problem has already been isolated and power should be restored in approximately 15 to 30 minutes, should no further issues present themselves.
