Learning the basics of the JSE
This event was hosted and held a Hirsch’s Strubens Valley.
Local entrepreneurs have now been empowered about the stock market dynamics following an intriguing basic workshop about the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) by Nigel Willmott, a financial service industry expert.
Willmott, who is the Principal of Momentum Consult Clearwater, taught the entrepreneurs at the first monthly women in business network all the basics about the industry.

This event was hosted and held a Hirsch’s Strubens Valley.
“Nigel started the session by explaining the process of how to invest in the JSE. He then touched on subjects such as; the six decades of inflation-beating returns on the JSE, hindsight lessons to take into 2020 and what the key investment success factors are,” Marjone Barnard, the public relations officer at Hirsch’s summarised the session.
“The crowd was very excited to grow their knowledge on the subject and asked numerous questions after Nigel ended the session,” she reflected.
To end the morning, networkers were given the opportunity to showcase their products and introduce themselves and their businesses. This was followed by a lucky draw, networking, sharing of business cards and enjoying refreshments.
Marjone encouraged anyone who wishes to join the Hirsch’s networking events to contact her via email: marjone@hirschs.co.za or call 083 456 5387.
