INGREDIENTS
• 180ml brown sugar, firmly packed
• 125ml honey
• 60ml Dijon mustard/ Tarragon Dijon Mustard
• 125ml cup water
• 10 cloves
• 4,5 kg spiral cut ham
INSTRUCTIONS
1. In a small saucepan, combine the brown sugar, honey, mustard, water and cloves and bring to a boil stirring occasionally. Cook for about five minutes over medium heat. The glaze should be fragrant from the cloves and mustard.
2. Place the ham in a large slow cooker. Make sure it’s large enough so that you can put the lid on it. Pour the glaze over the entire ham. Close the lid and cook on low for four to six hours or high for two to three hours. Baste the ham every hour with the glaze. Don’t stress if you forget.
3. The ham will be ready when it reaches an internal temperature of 60° C. Serve with the remaining glaze.
