Alert commuter saves herself from becoming a victim
Commuters warned to always be wary of which vehicle is picking them up

The intended taxi arrived shortly thereafter and the threat was eliminated. Angelique described the vehicle as a metallic blue Nissan and the driver as heavy set with a deep West African accent. “I use this specific service up to 15 times a week and I never have any problems. I am still very happy with the service I receive and will continue using them. I just urge people to be alert. Please read the safety tips on the app and always be sure which vehicle you are climbing into.”
No report was made to the police as the details Angelique had were minimal. That said, a potentially life- threatening situation was avoided thanks to her picking up the signals and trusting her instincts.
