The investigation into the case of the corpse found in the Florida Lake continues. Police have released additional information that may help in identifying the man.
The body is that of an African male who is believed to be about 35 years of age. He was wearing only a pair of blue shorts – no shirt or shoes. Captain Lydia Dikolomela of Florida Police added, “The body was first noticed by men fishing in the lake. They attempted to drag it closer to the bank to assist, but the man was already dead. There were no visible injuries on the deceased. The case is still under investigation.”

The man’s body was retrieved from the Swan Avenue end of the lake with the assistance of Christopher Montgomery from Emergency Control South Africa (ECSA). Police are appealing to the public to assist with any information that could help identify the man.
Anyone who has information about a missing adult male who may fit the description is urged to please contact the Florida Police.
