Local woman suffers serious burns
“ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene at 10.24am to find the woman lying in her yard,” he explained.
A woman, believed to be in her 70s, was airlifted to a private hospital after sustaining serious burns at her residence in Wilgeheuwel this morning, Friday, 29 November.
According to ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, the woman was found with critical injuries.
“ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived at the scene at 10.24am to find the woman lying in her yard,” he explained.
He said medics assessed her and found that she had sustained serious burn wounds over most of her body and was in a critical condition.
“The woman was treated for her injuries and provided with several advanced life support interventions before she was airlifted by helicopter to a private hospital,” he further explained.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known, according to Meiring.
