Recyclers invited to Christmas Market

Residents of CKN are on a drive to improve recycling efforts in a way that is truly community-orientated.

Saturday 23 November saw the residents of Constantia Kloof Northside (CKN) hosting a Christmas Market at Kroton Park in Weltevreden Park.

The park was filled with a variety of stalls just to kick-start the festive mood and shopping associated with the Christmas season.

Recyclers were also invited to the event since CKN is in the process of bringing the recyclers and the residents closer together.

At a meeting held at Klein Constantia Boutique Guest House earlier in the year, residents of CKN announced that they were on a drive to improve recycling efforts in a way that was truly community-orientated.

Initiative organiser, Lorin Leuci said, “We learned how to make eco bricks from the non-recyclables people dispose of. For our first eco brick building project we plan to build a garden bed in the park where we will plant spekboom.”
