Ons Huis hosts successful Night Market

Ons Huis held a Night Market on 1 November to raise funds for its residents who suffer from Alzheimer's and Dementia.

Ons Huis is a Florida-based retirement village, and in an effort to raise money for their residents who suffer from Alzheimer’s and Dementia, they held a Night Market on 1 November.

Young and old gathered at Kings School Discovery for a Night Market and Potjiekos Evening and from the second you walked through the gates you could feel the joy and neighbourly spirit in the air. The residents of the village, their families, friends, and guests gathered for a night of delicious food, music, and fun.

Every Potjie smelled delicious, and there was a wide variety of cakes and sweet treats for dessert. The live performances kept everyone entertained and the stalls brought out everyone’s inner shopaholic.

The children were also kept entertained with a jumping castle and jungle gym, as well as the school field where they could run around and expend all their energy.

Entrance was only a non-perishable food item or a toiletry item and every effort was put into making sure that as much money as possible would be raised for the home’s cause.
