Annual Entrepreneurship Day at IIE MSA
The event was open to all aspiring and current entrepreneurs who want to learn about starting their own businesses.
On Thursday , 21 November, IIE MSA and the Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA) hosted their Annual Entrepreneurship Day at the IIE MSA campus in Ruimsig.
The event was open to all aspiring and current entrepreneurs who want to learn about starting their own businesses.
The session included an exciting workshop that will help explore the world of entrepreneurship while helping aspiring entrepreneurs to get the guidance and motivation they need to kickstart their journey.

SEDA Joburg Branch Manager, Simon Shiya said, “Every year in November, the whole world celebrates what is called Global Entrepreneurship Week and as a player in the Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise (SMME) development sector we also participate. The main reason for our involvement is to convey the message to our people to say the economy has to thrive and we have to create the much-needed jobs.”

Access to information is one of the biggest challenges facing entrepreneurs and the event not only aims to improve this access, but also provide the best possible SMME services and advice, all under one roof.
Shiya said, “We are here just to tell the people that we are the entity of the government mandated to deliver on SMME support, we are not alone in this journey as we are in partnership with other government departments, agencies as well as the private sector.”
