This letter refers to your article, Three men rob house after fooling domestic worker, published on your website on Wednesday, 13 November.
The same sort of thing happened at my daughter’s house, the only difference being that her domestic did not let the intruders in, but took a photo of them through the bedroom window. When they saw the flash, they sped off.
My daughter sent a message on the community WhatsApp group stating the following, “Morning all. My domestic just called to ask if we were expecting a plumber, which we were not. Apparently, a car pulled up asking her to open the gate, as they needed to fix a leak in our roof. She told them no and when she took a photo of the vehicle they drove off.. I have reported this to the relevant authorities. Please be aware as it seems that silly season is starting early this year.”
