Lesson not learned, JMPD arrests more taxi drivers

It seems as if taxi drivers did not learn a lesson or the warning was not conveyed to other operators following arrests for similar offences last month.

The Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) was back on the Beyers Naudé Drive and N1 highway bridge during the morning of Monday, 11 November to crack down on lawless taxi operators.

It seems as if taxi drivers did not learn any lesson, or the warning was not conveyed to other operators, following arrests for similar offences last month. In mid-October, the JMPD arrested seven taxi drivers on the same route for reckless/ negligent driving – in the form of driving in oncoming lanes and the yellow lanes.
