The word of the day for 2 November is: Exceptional

The word ‘exceptional’ means unusual or not typical.

Usually, exceptional is a compliment, describing something unusually good.

We are all exceptional in one way or another, and we need to be proud of our achievements and supportive of the achievements of others. No one should accept mediocrity. We should all aim to be the best that we can be at something, otherwise there is no point in doing it.

Frank Sonnenberg said, “People stop trying when there is no benefit for being exceptional and no consequence for being mediocre.”

Sometimes, we need to make difficult choices to reach our full potential. The people we associate with may pull us down, and even our habits can affect us. We need to show individuality because we will never be exceptional if we are trying to be someone else. We will never be exceptional if we are sheep.

Frederik Lenz said, “Be the exceptional being who separates themselves from the herd and the fate of the herd.”

Don’t let the herd’s fate become yours, be individual. It won’t always be easy, there will be difficulties and people who will try to break you down, but you cannot let that stop you.

Zig Ziglar said, “Don’t be distracted by criticism. Remember, the only taste of success some people get is to take a bite out of you.”

Don’t let negativity stop you from reaching your potential, don’t let it stop you from pursuing your passion.
