Witpoortjie footballers out to conquer the field

The Conquerors still need transport for the future, training equipment, training shoes, clothes, and a permanent soccer field to practise on.

In March this year, two residents, Zama Gasa and Lesego Mabidikane, took it upon themselves to start a soccer team to save the young and vulnerable from bad influences.

They started the team, Conquerors FC, with the purpose of uplifting the youth in the area, and to invest in their character and talents. The group believes in giving every child the opportunity to show his talent and let it be seen by the world.

The NG Culembeeck church took this talented group in by allowing them to practise on their premises on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm. The group, which calls itself The Conquerors, has participated in some local soccer matches and has shown to the community that nothing will get them down. Dominee Yolandi Kok is assisting the group with transport for the time being to enable the young players to participate and attend the training.

This talented group is looking to participate in competitions to show off their skills and talents. The Conquerors still need transport for the future, training equipment, training shoes, clothes, and a permanent soccer field to practise on.

If anyone is willing to sponsor this group, or donate some of the needed equipment, please contact Yolandi on 079 354 7902.
