Motorists using Hendrik Potgieter Road between Jim Fouché and Gordon Roads are warned to drive with caution following reports of taxi violence this morning, Friday, 1 November.
Reports about brewing taxi violence surfaced yesterday afternoon, Thursday, 31 October, after reports suggested that passengers were pushed around and weapons were brandished by drivers on Jim Fouché Road near Builders Warehouse and along Hendrik Potgieter Road.
BCI Security operations manager, Rudi Holtzhausen, whose personnel along with public law enforcement agencies are monitoring the roads, updated that the roads seemed to be quiet of late, but continue to keep an eye on the situation.
