The persisting land invasion in Zandspruit (Ward 114) resulted in more illegal structures being removed during a joint operation involving the Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) on Monday, 29 October.
Plots 22 and 23 were targeted, according to a Facebook post by MMC for Economic Development and Ward 97 councillor, Leah Knott.

During the operation at least 15 incomplete structures and 20 complete unoccupied structures were demolished, 60 poles were removed and building material was impounded.
