Dojo celebrates its students’ achievements
The World Goju-Ryu Karate Federation hosted its 5th World Championships at the Titiwangsa Indoor Stadium in Kuala Lampur in Malaysia from 16 to 22 September 2019.
Palm Court Karate Centre, a dojo based in Weltevreden Park for the past 27 years, is celebrating its students’ achievements this month.
Palm Court Karate and dojo founder, Mario Sequeira was proud to announce that five of their students qualified to represent South Africa at the World Goju-Ryu Karate Championships in Malaysia last month.

The World Goju-Ryu Karate Federation hosted its 5th World Championships at the Titiwangsa Indoor Stadium in Kuala Lampur from 16 to 22 September 2019.
Daniel, Samantha and Rachel Boys all took part in the tournament. The 18-year-old Teya Poulsen finished third in unison kata and eighth in the world in individual kata, while Mauritz Kotze represented South Africa as a referee.
