Hidden cocaine recovered in complex in Wilgeheuwel

The drugs were hidden under ground in a residential complex in Glock Street.

 

Eighty-nine hidden bags of drugs (cocaine) were recovered by the Johannesburg Metro Police Department’s (JMPD) K9 Unit in Wilgeheuwel on Thursday, 17 October.

According to a Facebook post by the MMC for Public Safety, Michael Sun, the officers acted on a tip-off from members of the public. The drugs were hidden underground in a residential complex on Glock Road.

Ward 97 councillor, Leah Knott said drug pushers aren’t welcomed in her neighbourhood and thanked Sun and his team for the recovery.
