A taxi carrying school children was involved in an accident this morning, 17 October. The accident happened shortly after 7.30am at the intersection of Ferreira Street and Christiaan De Wet Road and involved one other light motor vehicle.

Alett Reed of Emer-G-Med confirmed that several children were treated on scene for minor injuries with one child needing to be taken to hospital after sustaining serious injuries.
No fatalities have been reported at this stage.
