Talent showcase was an extravaganza
Talented hopefuls recently took part in the ninth Annual International Arts talent showcase at Silverstar.
Glitz and glam were the order of the day recently during the ninth annual International Arts Talent Showcase that was held at Silverstar.
This showcase brings together the best talents that South Africa has to offer and gives them the opportunity to travel to America, where they might be spotted and become international stars.
Talent scouts from 33 and Me Model and Artist Management travelled the whole of South Africa, Namibia and Mozambique to find the best models, actors, singers and dancers. Those chosen were invited to compete in the ninth Annual International Arts Talent showcase.
Hundreds of talented hopefuls participated in front of a panel of international judges on Friday, 27 September and Saturday, 28 September.
The judges included Atlanta-based casting director Rhavynn Drummer, who began her career with Tyler Perry Studios and has worked on movies like Why did I get married Too; Nate Butler, a junior casting producer for the Steve Harvey Showcase and Kids say the Darnest Things – America; Blaze Johnson from The Voice America; Blake Babbitt and Maria Culbertson from the New York Film Academy, and Joey Hunter, co-founder and President of Ford Models in New York City.
In July 2020, the participants who made the cut at the showcase will form part of the South African team who will be attending the International Modelling and Talent Association convention in New York.
