Identify your blessings and conquer life’s challenges

A Roodepoort-based author is using his second book to talk about blessings and how to use them to your advantage.

Identify your blessings and conquer life’s challenges

Emmanuel Kassala is a Roodepoort resident and author who is very in touch with his spirituality. With the Christian God at the centre of all his beliefs, Emmanuel hopes to use his writing to share his experiences and the lessons he has learned throughout his journey in faith.

His first book was released in 2018. God Give Us Bread Always (named after John 3:36) focused on finding yourself when you find God and trusting that He will provide for you. He expands on this topic with his second book, which will be released in October.

On 5 October, Born Blessed to Conquer, will be released at the UNISA Exams Centre in Ormonde. He is aiming to uplift people in their spirituality with this book, which talks about blessings and how to use them to your advantage.

“A blessing is not always material; they can come in the form of good health, family, knowledge. Blessings are any gift from God,” said Emmanuel.

The way he sees it, there are many false prophets in today’s society. These people promise to bless you and bring you wealth and good fortune, but with his book, he is trying to prove that blessings come with faith. In an interview with the Roodepoort Record, Emmanuel mentioned that people are always looking for enemies, but our actions and emotions (such as fear, laziness, and ignorance) turn us into our own worst enemy.

In his book, Emmanuel covers topics relating to blessings and personal well-being. He looks into what blessings are, the forms they come in, what fake blessings are, how to identify blessings, and how to bring them upon yourself.

“This book is there to lead us in the path of discovery of the true blessing and the way to conquer the challenges of life,” he said.
