Clearwater Mall hosted South Africa’s National Cupcake Day 4 Kids with Cancer on Saturday, 28 September 2019.
National Cupcake Day is an initiative aimed at raising awareness and funds for families in need of medical assistance. Cupcakes of Hope does that through the love of baking cupcakes.

Event organiser, Mellisa Quinn said, “It is always a good thing to get our community involved, knowing that we need to have a positive and different approach towards cancer. Thank you to everyone that made the event a success.”

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, so Cupcakes of Hope distributed leaflets portraying the early cancer warning signs under the banner “Early detection save lives”.
They managed to raise R2 million from last year’s event and hoped to do the same thing this year through these successful cake sales.
