West Rand Toastmasters celebrate Spring

West Rand Toastmasters held a luncheon to celebrate the arrival of Spring at Del Forno in Flora Centre on Sunday 22 September.

The tables were beautifully decorated with fresh flowers and the chairs decorated with bunches of fresh leaves.

West Rand Toastmasters Club member, Glen Campbell said, “We all thoroughly enjoyed our luncheon, chosen from a variety of dishes from the comprehensive menu”.

Jacqui Motaung organised the colourful Spring-motivated decorations and made the event a very successful one.

The club’s new member, Mampe Mosito said, “The Toastmasters is an encouraging and learning experience that helps people to get the confidence to speak in public”.

West Rand Toastmasters was started over 20 years ago. Their mission is to provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.

The next meeting will be held on Thursday, 3 October at 6.30pm at the Discovery Bowling Club.
