NPO risking life and limb

Saving lives with nothing but donations and sponsors.

Fast attracting attention for their bravery and selflessness, Emergency Contact Services South Africa (ECSA) is here to help. The organisation has been registered with the Department of Social Development as a non-profit organisation (NPO) for just under 14 months.

Made up entirely out of volunteer fire and rescue personnel, ECSA asks for no remuneration for its services, instead the NPO survives entirely on donations and sponsorship. Working closely with the City of Johannesburg EMS as well as the K9 Search and Rescue Unit, ECSA also responds to major motor vehicle accidents, missing persons and aquatic rescue. Of course, fighting fires is what ECSA is known for and specialise in.
