Sleepathon success for Feed-The-Furry
Their next food drive will be at the Woodrock Animal Rescue at the end of September, so any and all donations are welcome.

Feed-the-Furry had a wonderful experience at the Wollies Sleepathon Challenge 2019. On 7 September, the NPO spent the night in the enclosures with three of the dogs at the Wollies Animal Shelter.
“We shared an enclosure with three great doggies: Jojo, Cady, and Sana. Even though the fur-babies were quite shy and scared at first, they slowly warmed up to us after numerous treats and toys,” said Celeste Vermeulen, founder of Feed-the-Furry.

The shelter has approximately 200 kennels, just for the dogs, and on the day of the sleepathon almost 1 000 people slept in the dog enclosures and cattery; making use of sleeping bags and mattresses. Everyone in attendance left with heavy hearts in the morning, wishing they could offer the animals a loving forever home.
Feed-the-Furry, together with amazing sponsors and public donations, managed to donate blankets, toys, treats, food bowls, and more than 400kg of food to the shelter that weekend.

The NPO is always in need of donations for the animals and shelters they support, and they are urging the community to donate. Their next food drive will be at the Woodrock Animal Rescue at the end of September, so any and all donations are welcome.
