Roodepoort Theatre to host Mrs Universe S A and Africa
Mrs Universe is the biggest pageant for married and divorced women in the world, drawing about 80 contestants annually.
On 28 September 2019, Commonwealth Pageants South Africa (Pty) Ltd will be crowning Mrs Universe South Africa and Mrs Universe Africa for 2019/ 2020.
The event will be held at the Roodepoort Theatre and the two winners will be taking part in the Mrs Universe competition in Guangzhou, China from 22 December to 1 January.
Mrs Universe is the biggest pageant for married and divorced women in the world, drawing about 80 contestants annually.
The platform for the Mrs Universe pageant is creating awareness of, and speaking out about domestic violence and abuse.
The Director and owner of Commonwealth Pageants South Africa, Anel de Swardt, said, “All our contestants are doing great work creating awareness and assisting women and children who are victims of rape, violence and abuse.”
Commonwealth Pageants South Africa (Pty) Ltd is the official licence-holder for the Mrs Universe South Africa and Mrs Universe Africa pageants.

Melanie Wright is the reigning Mrs Universe South Africa and the award-winning actor and presenter, Nat Ramabulana, will be the MC for the evening.
