On 5 September, Laerskool Die Ruiter Primary School hosted a talent show to write home about.
Ruiter’s Got Talent featured learners rapping, singing and dancing their hearts out for a panel of judges with experience in the entertainment industry.

The judging panel was made up of Eon le Roux (finalist on The Voice Season 3), Herna de Witt (a dance and drama instructor), Mdu Dhlamini, and Tyson Orchin.
Not only did the learners dazzle with their performances, but Tyson Orchin wowed the crowd with his saxophone and Eon le Roux blew the audience away with his singing voice.
The competition was extremely tough and all the learners deserved to win, but there could only be one first place learner for each category (junior and senior).

In the senior section, Naylon Middleton took home a well-deserved first place award, Thando Mazibuko’s wonderful performance earned her second place, and the brilliant Cadence Melow came third.
In the junior group, Patrice Nyembwe did more than enough to take home his first place award, Sedilame Siwela was a strong competitor who finished second, and the talented Aiden Lawrence placed third.
