Beauty products donated to CPF Victim Support

A beauty care franchise donated beauty products to the CPF to bolster the resources the forum needs when attending to a case that requires trauma counselling.

The incredible, selfless role being played by the Honeydew Community Policing Forum (CPF) Victim Support Unit saw them receive recognition from a local business on Thursday, 12 September.

A beauty care franchise, Sorbet Honeydew Village, donated beauty products to the CPF to bolster the resources the forum needs when attending to a case that requires trauma counselling.

Amiena Ally, the franchise partner, listed the items that they donated. “We donated various gift sets, some with perfume, candle sets and soaps varying in fragrances, as our way of giving back to society,” she said.

A thankful Hanlee Fourie, the head of Victim Support, indicated that these products will go a long way towards restoring the dignity of the victims they counsel. “These products will go to victims of crime who have just gone through serious traumas. The wonderful smell from these products may help to restore their femininity and uplift them as they try to move on from their ordeal,” she explained.
