Racing to help one another

The school hosted its annual Soapbox Derby which saw learners in different grades compete against each other with the aim of helping their fellow learners.

The chilly weather on Saturday, 7 September, did not deter the learners and parents of Trinityhouse Little Falls Preparatory School from coming out and have a thrilling day outdoors.

The school hosted its annual Soapbox Derby which saw learners in different grades compete against each other, with the aim of helping their fellow learners.

The event was exceptionally well attended. Visitors got to watch the races while being treated to good music and endless food stalls.

The school deputy principal, Riaan Smit, explained the purpose of hosting this event. “All the grades get to compete against each other – and they try and do as many laps as possible which are sponsored by the parents. The money raised at the event goes back to the Trinity community to assist parents that are experiencing difficulty coping with fees etc,” he explained.
